Martin Gaines is the managing principal of Platform Properties, LLC. Mr. Gaines is a Dallas native and a 2nd generation commercial real estate broker with over 15 years of experience in retail leasing, brokering, managing and development in DFW. He began his career in managing land and right of way acquisitions for an engineering company before joining his family’s brokerage, Gaines Real Estate Company. While there, he managed and leased a 400,000 sft retail portfolio across DFW and participated in the disposition and acquisition of $50m in retail and multifamily and retail transactions. He’s also worked for Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC where he was consistently a top producer. At Henry S. Miller, he was the exclusive leasing agent for the Miller retail portfolio in DFW which included 10 shopping centers and over 850,000 sft of retail space. Mr. Gaines has a B.A. from the University of Mississippi and is a member of ICSC and ULI. He volunteers at the VA Hospital through a group called ‘Vet to Vet.’
